This program consists of 10 courses providing an English-speaking person with the necessary knowledge for integration to a francophone environment. The participant will develop skills to communicate effectively in French in a work or a social environment.
Using everyday examples and resources (newspapers, television, etc.), you will be introduced to the French language. By the end of this course, you will have a better understanding of basic French. Emphasis will be placed on oral skills through subject-related discussions.

In these courses, you will learn how to express yourself in daily activities in the past, present and future tenses using basic vocabulary related to work, social, business and home situations. At the completion of the course, you will be able to participate with ease in mainly any conversation.

This course is the last of the series and should provide the opportunity to practice conversational skills in a structured environment, such as presentation, group discussions, seminars, and more oral spontaneous conversation.

Special note: The following courses are not part of the French as a Second Language Program. They are designed for students who wish to enhance their conversational skills.

Learners can speak French at a beginner’s level and face the challenge of day-to-day conversation.

This course is dedicated to newcomers who have achieved level 6 of the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB). This course will allow the student to improve his or her language skills. The participants after a 13-week in class language training will participate to a 5-week placement with a Canadian company or a mentorship for the same period of time.
