On April 15, Collège Boréal in cooperation with ACFO du grand Sudbury, will hold a mock civil trial to highlight Law Day 2010. Being held as part of the monthly activities to mark the 100th anniversary of ACFO and during Collège Boréal’s 15th anniversary, the event will be presided by the Honourable Gérald Michel, former Regional Senior Justice in Sudbury. This simulation will underline in a facetious way the importance of the Canadian legal system in the history of both institutions.
Organized by the students and professors of the Legal Assistant Program at Collège Boréal, this civil trial simulation will outline the facts of opposing parties in a dispute between neighbours. Both plaintiff and defendant will have to substantiate their case by presenting their position on the issue in question to the Honourable Gérald Michel. It promises to be a colourful and entertaining contemporary event.
Date: Thursday, April 15, 2010
Time: From noon to 2 p.m.
Place: Collège Boréal, Sudbury, Jean-Watters Amphitheatre
