Sudbury – As part of the festivities marking Collège Boréal’s 15th Anniversary, Their Excellencies, The Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada and Mr. Jean-Daniel Lafond will be unveiling the College’s first Coat of Arms at a ceremony to be held May 5th at the main campus in Sudbury.

This event, unique in Collège Boréal’s history, will follow a student forum with representatives from Collège Boréal’s seven provincial campuses as well as students from the French-language public and catholic school boards ; Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) and the Conseil scolaire public du Grand Nord de l’Ontario (CSPGNO). Inspired by this College’s vision, The Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, will engage the students in a discussion exploring the theme, “How to promote our Francophone culture.”

“On this 15th Anniversary of Collège Boréal, the unveiling of our Coat of Arms by their Excellencies Michaëlle Jean and Jean-Daniel Lafond, are testament to the importance of our institution of higher learning on the broader Ontarian and Canadian landscape.” asserts Denis Hubert, President of Collège Boréal.
